Jordan Hall theatre program. Octavo. 4pp., illustrated. Printed for two performances by Josh White, a noted African-American singer, guitarist, songwriter, and civil rights activist. In 1945 he became "the first African-American popular music artist to make a national concert hall tour of America," touring with the Jamaican singer and dancer Josephine Premice. As printed in the program, this performance at Jordan Hall consisted of seven acts, and included songs performed both by White and Premice. One faint old vertical fold, a fine copy. A scarce, well-preserved piece of ephemera.
