Programme for a Grand Concert to be given in the Concert Hall, Lord Nelson Street, Liverpool Friday February 20 1846 by Miss Keale (unidentified) of 40 Faulkner/Falkner Street, pupil of M. Thalberg, that is the pianist Sigismond Thalberg (1812-1871). The vocalists are Mrs Sunderland, Mr Jackson Mr Hornby and Mr John Parry, that is John Orlando Parry (1810 -1879), who was a Welsh actor, pianist, artist, comedian singer and artist. The music is by Thalberg, Merke, Bishop, Barnett, Parry, and two of the songs are noted as having been written by Albert Smith (1816-1860) the writer, traveller and mountaineer. Pp 2, on pp. 4, centre fold, printed on yellow. Liverpool: E Davies, 1846. 23x29 cms. The concert hall was built in 1840 as the Hall of Science , converted to concerts, holding an audience of 2700, and had ceased to be a concert hall by 1908. Seller Inventory # soasejk201
