About this Item

An exhibition on view from September 24th, 2009 to January 3rd, 2010 at the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Soft-cover in Fine condition, thin 8vo, pages: xi,[i],44. Color illustrated stiff wrappers, back-side of wrappers with black-and-white illustration, 5 figures, four of which are double page. Like new. Mary Delany, 1700-1788, was an English artist known for botanical drawings; Margaret Cavendish, Dowager Duchess of Portland, 1715-1785, was a formidable collector creating a "Grand Museum" which was auctioned off in 1786.
