3" splits at head of joints. Boards heavily rubbed. Edges and corners of boards rubbed and worn. Inner hinges split. Moderate foxing. Large 3" tear to one leaf (pp.xliii-xliv), without loss of text. Late 19th? century owner's signature on front endpaper: "John Macpherson / Dunedin".; [7], (vi)-l, [1], 281 pages. Preliminary leaves include an errata leaf for the grammar. Contemporary quarter green morocco and marbled papered boards. Gilt title with some gilt decoration on spine. Page dimensions: 213 x 125mm.; 8vo.
