Scattered MARGINALIA AND SPARSE UNDERLINING, both in ink and in pencil. Else, Good+: Shows moderate use. Moderate wear to the corner tips and considerable rubbing to the panels and backstrip, where the gilt titles are somewhat obscured, but still legible. Faint overall soiling. Former owners' names at the upper corner of the front free endpaper. The binding is square and remains secure. Clearly, this is a flawed copy, but one that remains structurally sound and tightly bound, and not unattractive: would make a useful reading copy. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo.
