Sigmund freud, Karl Abraham, Melanie Klein, and others. Large octavo sized paperback, the ownership name of "John J. Gibson" under front flap, not seen on opening. He was an art lecturer and later psychoanalyst himself. Very good. NOT ex-library. Not in a warehouse! No smells.

Les termes "complexe", "Oedipe", "névrose", "libido", "transfert", sont passés dans le langage quotidien. La psychanalyse fait désormais partie de notre patrimoine culturel commun et chacun doit pouvoir l'approcher sans qu'elle ait subi ni "digestion" préalable ni falsification.
C'est ce que propose ce livre qui fait partie d'une collection de treize volumes, dirigée par Bela Grunberger et Janine Chasseguet-Smirgel, qui traite de toutes les notions psychanalytiques, et présente les textes de base qu'il faut avoir lus pour comprendre la psychanalyse.
Psychose et folie : s'agit-t-il de la même maladie ? Les psychoses sont-elles aujourd'hui encore des maladies incurables ?
La parole du "fou" ne présentait aucun sens, pensait-on jusqu'au XIXe siècle. Aussi ne l'écoutait-on pas. Or, en 1903, paraissait un livre intitulé Mémoires d'un névropathe. Son auteur, Daniel-Paul Schreber, ancien Président de la Cour d'Appel de Saxe, y retraçait l'évolution de sa maladie et de ses idées délirantes. Si l'Anglais Tuke et le Français Pinel avaient ouvert l'asile à la connaissance médicale, Freud, lui, en lisant les Mémoires du Président, décrypte le délire mystique du malade, découvre dans la sexualité l'origine des psychoses et ouvre aux psychotiques les voies de l'analyse.
Pourquoi les psychotiques dénient-ils la réalité, et par quoi la remplacent-ils ? Pourquoi devient-on schizophrène plutôt que dépressif ? Les psychoses résultent-elles de conflits infantiles, ou bien doit-on accuser l'hérédité, la famille et la vie moderne ? Freud, Abraham, Mélanie Klein et bien d'autres relatent ici leur expérience avec des psychotiques, et tentent de nous éclairer en se dotant d'un langage commun pour que la psychose ne soit plus l'une des grandes énigmes du XXe siècle.

Béla Grunberger (1903-2005): psychanalyste français réputé, d'origine hongroise, élu membre titulaire de la Société Psychanalytique de Paris en 1953, dont les travaux portent principalement sur le narcissisme.
Janine Chasseguet-Smirgel (1928-2006), épouse de Béla Grunberger: psychanalyste française, membre de la Société psychanalytique de Paris, a étudié les rapports entre la perversion et la création.
