About this Item
A fabulous piece of original Americana and historical reference. Octavo, 9 1/2" tall, 185 pages. A very good, clean hardcover with minor shelf wear, bottom front corner bumped, light soiling to back cover, hinges and binding tight, paper clean and lightly yellowed. The remains of a leather cord loop that would allow it to hang from a hook has broken away. Seldom appearing on the market, this resource is invaluable as historical business reference; including information on 'Boston Elevated Special Cars' the United Fruit Steamship service and the Hotel Titchfield in Jamaica, Thayer Shoes, and seating in all the major Boston theatres, etc. Copies were distributed to public service establishments with the compliments of the Old Colony Trust Company. Rates include phone costs, train fares, transatlantic sailings, theatres and hotels and more. Many wonderful B&W advertisements (frontispiece in color), charts, photographs. Seller Inventory # 7563
