About this Item
The first edition of this exceptionally scarce work of suspense fiction, written by Robin Estridge. The first edition, first impression. Very scarce. Written by British screenwriter and author of suspense fiction, Robin Estridge, was wrote many thrilling novels using a variety of pseudonyms. 'The Publican's Wife' was Estridge's second novel, telling the story of Sally Whitehead, a publican's wife who seems to know the entire goings and comings of The Grapes pub, along with the history of each of its patrons. The novel is set over one week, commencing with a chapter entitled 'Saturday Night', followed by 'Sunday Morning' and so forth, ending with the next 'Saturday Night'. Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, very smart, with light bumping and a little rubbing to the extremities. The odd mark to cloth and fading to the spine, with title faint. Hinges are a touch strained, but holding firm. One or two spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages. Very Good Indeed. Seller Inventory # 906Q27
