1946 FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. Original blue cloth with gilt lettering spine. Issued without dust jacket (the publisher did not make a dust jacket for any example of this book). The book has some usual darkening to spine and fading to spine lettering, old owner bookplate on front pastedown and date "4-11-46" neatly penned to upper corner of rear pastedown otherwise no writing or marks on any pages, no foxing, solid binding, crease mark on leaf for page 112 and 113 (almost certainly a flaw created during production -- see photo), solid binding.
