Vladimir Jabotinsky was a Zionist activist, soldier, orator, writer and poet; founder of the Jewish Legion during World War I and of the Revisionist movement, whose members were more instrumental than the mainstream movement in ejecting the British out of Eretz Israel in 1948. Jabotinsky predicted the holocaust and sought, mostly in vain, to convince European Jews in the mid 1930s to leave Europe.
