About this Item

Red buckram boards with black titles, some signs of use and a little offsetting to endpapers as usual. No dustwrapper. Some manuscript marks highlighting important pieces in pencil, probably by Darell. 32 page catalogue of Messrs Blackwood & Sons at rear, book very clean. Front cover has I.E.Darell 1st Life Guards in manuscript. An excellent small handbook for officers on the subject of military sketching, mapmaking and map reading with numerous diagrams. The Darell family came from Fretherne in Gloucestershire. 172 pages, small octavo,350g.
