40pp collection of thirty-six poems of countryside scenes illustrated with eleven wood-engravings by Joan Hassall. 1st edition. Green cloth covered boards with silver lettering on spine. Water stain to tail of hinge of front end papers and another similar stain to tail of hinge of rear end papers. Dirt mark to lower corner of p11. Spots to lower margin of pp14/15. Slightly weak binding to pp32/33. Unclipped dust jacket (originally light blue). Wear to top and tail of spine and corners. Dusty front cover and sun darkened spine. Red and black lettering. Illustration of poem Hard Frost on front cover. Tape repair to top and tail of spine of dust jacket. All now protected in archival wraps. This is NOT an ex-library copy. Seller Inventory # 012638
