This hardcover first edition of Salinger's two-in-one novel has a white dj with a beige spine and black lettering. Verso of title page indicates this is a first edition; third state is indicated by dedication page. As the author's note explains, the two pieces in the book were originally published separately in The New Yorker and were put together in this volume "to avoid unduly or undesirably close contact with new material in the series" of the author's writing about the fictional Glass family. 248 pages; approx. 5"x8". Book and jacket are both in good condition with edgewear, some foxing, wear, soil, "93.5" written on the top page edge in marker, and faded jacket spine. Seller Inventory # EEF2930
