Quarto (bedsheet, 28.25cm); original pictorial wrappers; 96pp; illus. Light wear to extremities, tiny diagonal creases to upper and lower left corners of front wrapper, a few thin, faint damp marks affecting the spine only, with text uniformly lightly tanned without being brittle; Very Good+. Early issue of this successor title to Detective Tales (1922-24), which ran for 68 issues between 1924-1931. Contents include contributions by Otis Adelbert Kline, Raoul Whitfield, Arthur Burks, Irvin Mattick, Seabury Quinn, James W. Egan, and others. Cover by Norwegian-American artist Andrew Bensen (1902-1976). 8860.
