CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Covers rubbed, soiled, spotted and rubbed corners and spine ends. Gilt is fairly bright and readable. Interior pages age toned, Small upper corner stain for first 70 pgs; else clean and solid. With clear, mylar wrapper. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Initially served with General Banks in the Carolinas. Later, the regiment headed to the Trans Mississippi and Louisiana. Joined in the Port Hudson Campaign and the Red River Expedition of 1864. Fought at Sabine Crossroads and Pleasant Hill. Transferred again to the East, they participated in the Shenandoah Valley Campaign and the Battle of Cedar Creek.
