Octavo, pictorial wrappers. The author's third mystery novel. Hard boiled private detective novel set in California. Clark wrote hundreds of short stories for pulp and digest magazines, including Weird Tales and many of the detective/mystery genre. [Reference: Hubin, p. 167]. Upper right front corner bumped, rear cover has some white residue (appears the jacket was slightly stuck to the cloth at some point), a very good copy in a very good dust jacket with shelf wear to the edges, a small and a tiny closed tear at upper front panel.
