Item description from seller

"Reflections of California" is both a beautiful art book and an important and interesting record of California history. The paintings in this book are examples of the California Impressionist style, dating from approximately 1890 to 1930. The person memorialized in the book is Athalie Richardson Irvine Clarke (1903-1993), who married into the Irvine family and became a part of Orange County history. Included are photographs, portraits, a selection bibliography, and an exhibition checklist. This copy is clean, solid, and SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, Joan Irvine Smith.
