The techniques of preserving and restoring period timber-framed houses written by a building surveyor, and one of the few books written on this subject. . Illustrated with b/w photographs and line drawings. Orange cloth boards. Internally the bottom corner of the front pastedown and free endpaper have been clipped, showing the corner of the cloth binding, but this is probably a production fault as the contents are tight and clean, and book has little sign of use.
