vii+203; no obvious flaws at all but front cover surface slightly less than perfect when looked at from an angle and bottom spine maybe a tad rubbed; unclipped jacket clean but top edge and spine slightly darkened and a few minor edge nicks, spine has a few small faint brown rings, lgeacy perhaps of an ancient coffee splash, but now genuinely of little consequence. Will add protective sleeve when ordered. A very acceptable copy of this study ranging from the pre-Ciceronian period, via Cicero and Quintilian to the Later Roman Empire, with a penultimate chapter on Rhetoric and Christianity.
