Description
A first edition of one of the later Billy Bunter of Greyfriars novels by Frank Richards, the pseudonym of Charles Hamilton, illustrated by long-standing Bunter artist C. H. Chapman.
During the summer holidays Billy Bunter and his Greyfriars companions are invited to Butlin?s Holiday Camp at Skegness, where Bunter inevitably becomes embroiled in adventure. The book was produced in connection with the Butlin Beaver Club, whose emblem appears prominently on the striking photographic dust jacket.
The jacket is particularly appealing, featuring a photographic image of Bunter enjoying a large plate of food against a Butlin?s holiday-camp background.

Publisher?s original red boards with dark titles to the front board and spine, complete with the original illustrated dust jacket.

Condition
Very Good in Very Good dust jacket.
A sound and attractive copy. Binding firm and text block secure, with the expected light age-toning to the pages. Ownership inscription to the front endpaper. Otherwise internally clean and well preserved.
The original pictorial dust jacket remains complete, bright and attractive, with some age-related rubbing, creasing and wear to the edges and corners, including small closed tears and minor chipping, as shown in the photographs. The distinctive Butlin?s photographic design remains strong and presents well.
