368 pages. Pictorial hardcover published without a dust jacket. Still the "Bible" on the Winchester Model 70 Rifle, after over forty years since it was first published. The Rifleman's Rifle is an in-depth study of its production and use from 1936-1963. It is very detailed and comprehensive. There are hundreds of detailed illustrations that clearly show the markings on the rifles. Serial number information is included. The Chapter titles are: The Predecessor; Production; Styles; Chamberings; Model Changes; Style Changes; Catalogs; Special Orders; Research and Development; and, The Successor. Neat former owner signature and date on the inside front board, otherwise a beautiful, clean, bright solid copy in Fine condition. It would be very difficult to find a copy in better condition, and it is priced reasonably.
