An early and uncommon book by this Welsh born, Scottish-reared writer. Linklater has the distinction of having fought in both World Wars. A clean First Edition copy with no marks of any kind in the book. The binding has shelfwear to the bottom of the spine, and soiling to the top of the boards. The dustjacket has separation at the spine fold, and chipping, rough tears and significant soiling. It has not been price-clipped and is now protected with a new mylar cover. Very Good binding / Fair dust jacket.
