Add to basketThis copy is in new, unmarked and seemingly unread condition bound in blue cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. This copy is bright, tight, white and square. The unclipped dust wrapper is in new condition. Paul R. Hare was born in Battersea but moved to Cleethorpes in 1971 after qualifying as an engineer. He has spend all his adult like researching the Royal Aircraft Factory and has been a regular contributor to a number of magazines and journals, including Air Enthusiast; WW1 Aero; and the Cross & Cockade Journal for many years. He is also the author of a number of Windsock datafiles and has acted as technical advisor on a number of restoration projects. He has presented papers at conferences and seminars in Both the UK and USA as well as speaking a flying clubs, Rotary clubs, history societies and various other groups. The Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) was a British research establishment, known by several different names during its history, that eventually came under the aegis of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), before finally losing its identity in mergers with other institutions. The first site was at Farnborough Airfield ("RAE Farnborough") in Hampshire to which was added a second site RAE Bedford (Bedfordshire) in 1946. In 1988 it was renamed the Royal Aerospace Establishment (RAE) before merging with other research entities to become part of the new Defence Research Agency in 1991. Ref V V V 3.
