This lovely book was printed in 1948, illustrated by Alfred Bestall and published by the Daily Express, this is the original first edition of this volume, the thirteenth in the Rupert series of annuals that is still published today. The cover is slightly rubbed, but very bright and clean. The belongs to box is filled in and it's NOT price clipped. The pages are right and cleaned and haven't been pulled about. In fact, there is a springiness in the spine which makes it difficult to open for photographs - it still has that newly made feel. Overall, in VERY GOOD TO NEAR FINE condition. This is a real rarity and will make the perfect gift for the serious collector of Rupert annuals, or the lover of beautiful classic children's books.
