Contains eleven lectures delivered by Rutherford at Yale, in which he lays out the results of experiments with radioactive substances, including the discovery of the concept of radioactive half-life, the element radon, and the differentiated alpha and beta radiation. Published in 1906 by Archibald Constable & Co., two years before his Nobel prize win. Minor wear to the extremities and some spotting, but overall a very good copy of a scarce title.
