Red cloth-covered boards with gilt embossed lettering on spine & front cover, Unevenly cut & rough-cut pages, no dust-jacket. 361 pages. Weight: 547 Grams. CONTENTS ARE LIKE NEW!!! However, there is a crack between endpaper & adjacent blank page, and there are splits in between endpapers & pastedowns at front & rear of book. Spine is discoloured & slightly marked, bumped, scuffed & a little frayed either end, gilt dull. Cover is rubbed & slightly marked, bumped on front, edge wear. Corners bumped & scuffed. Top outer edge darkened & scuffed. Mark on top edge of front pastedowns at front & rear of book. Illustration plates all present. Some pages are creased alongside spine, and/or have corner folds/creases. Small area of darker tanning on pages 62 & 63. Light age tanning & very rare foxing throughout.
