An "Uncorrected Proof Copy "The Rainbow and the Rose", by Nevil Shute. Published by Heinemann and printed by The Windmill Press, Kingswood Surrey. It is a paperback proof with a thick a paper cover that is faded with some curling of the corners. The 306 pages are all still tightly bound but the front cover is becoming detached from the internal binding. The edges of the pages are showing signs of foxing and, when closed, have a mottled effect because of it. The pages themselves are in good condition for their age, with little ageing. There is a sonnet by Rupert Brooke, "The Treasure" before page 1.
