A scare two volume set of Robert Walton's Random Recollections. First editions. The first series was published in 1869 and achieved such success that a second series was issued in 1873. In attractive bindings by J Aston. Inscribed by the author to the front blank. A collection of anecdotes written by Walton during his travels around Britain and in particular the Midland circuit of the adminsitration of justice. Uniformly bound in full straight-grained morocco by J Aston. Externally, smart with just some rubbing to the head adn tial of the spines and extremtieis. Light marks to boards.
