A very nice copy of photographs of the Okanogan country that saddled the US/Canadian border. Matsura stepped off a stage couch in Conconully in 1903 and began taking photographs until his death in 1913. He remains a mystery. Although well educated, he arrived at some point from Japan and no one seems to have unraveled the story. Interesting. The historical photographs represented in this book are the results. Some wear to the corners of the DJ, otherwise very good. Nice.
