Light edge wear.; A bright, solid book, dust jacket in Mylar jacket protector.; 9.10 X 6 X 2.40 inches; 826 pages; "This remarkable volume is the first full-scale revision of the official history of the U.S. executive state. It traces the progression of power exercised by American presidents from the early American Republican up to the eventual reality of the power-hungry Caesars which later appear as president in American history. Contributors examine the usual judgments of the historical profession to show the ugly side of supposed presidential greatness. The mission inherent in this undertaking is to determine how the presidency degenerated into the office of American Caesar. Did the character of the man who held the office corrupt it, or did the power of the office, as it evolved, corrupt the man? Or was it a combination of the two? Was there too much latent power in the original creation of the office as the Anti-Federalists claimed? Or was the power externally created and added to the position by corrupt or misguided men? ".…

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. International shipments that qualify for Global Priority shipping will be sent that way so long as the book fits (well packaged) in the flat rate envelope. Please note that USPS no longer offers international Surface Mail but because we are located in Canada we can offer this option.
Please note that the International shipping rate is for books 2 lbs or more fully packaged. If your book weighs less I will mail 1st Class (air mail) and reduce the S&H to the current 1st Class rate.
To our US customers, Please note shipments to the US usually arrive in 7-10 days, not a guarantee but an observation. Please note that due to Canadian travel restrictions, we are no longer able to cross the border to drop our parcels off at the US Post Office. We are temporarily raising our shipping rates to the US.
