Add to basketBy the Members of the Central Church and Congregation, and Other Personal Friends, at the Palmer House, Chicago, Monday Evening, February 22, 1886. A very rare original printing of this book - at the time of posting, I've been unable to find another original copy listed anywhere online for the past several months, or sold online over the past few years. Softcover with firm leatherlike exterior. The book condition is Good-. Pages are tanned around edges, with some minor dark smudging in a few spots on some page edge. Pencil on ffep from previous store. Foxing spot on front tissue paper. Some spotting and surface scuffing on back endpaper. Corners of textlbock rubbed and lightly bumped. Edges of textblock are gilted, with some superficial scratching and spots where gilt is rubbed off (especially at corners). The text itself is in excellent condition - clean, and clear of writing, markings, highlighting, etc. The hinges appear to have been repaired at some point (joints between cover and text block). The binding is stapled, with 5 staples. There is splitting/separation in the gutter after the first 2 blank endpages, where the tissue page is - the staples are seperated from these first blank endpages, creating a split hinge (see photos), but the spine cover is still firmly glued to the spine of the textblock, so the book holds together perfectly well (but naturally opens to this area). Edges of cover and spine rubbed and exposed in spots. A few small rips in cover edges at spine joints. A cluster of surface scratches on front cover near text.

Orders ship within 2 business days of payment - typically next day. Orders are shipped via USPS media mail at a flat rate of $6 and $2 for each additional item. Orders can also be shipped via USPS priority mail for $15 for the first book. For both services, customers will be contacted if heavy/oversized books require additional shipping costs, or if the shipping destination requires additional shipping costs.
Important note for non-US buyers: International orders are billed at cost, and this cost varies greatly with the weight and size of the order. If you are ordering oversized volumes or multiple books, expect notably higher shipping costs. When you place your order, I will estimate the shipping options and costs with PirateShip and email you about these options. When we agree on a shipping method, I will send an invoice for the additional shipping costs through Abebooks, and will pack and ship the order once this is paid. If it turns out that your order costs less to ship than the default international shipping cost that I use for my books, I will reiumburse you for the difference.
