Red Letter Days

This is from the dustwrapper: "A little after World War 2, Bernard Venables created the cartoon angler Mr Crabtree, a character whose adventures galvanized and guided generations of fishermen. Mr Crabtree Goes Fishing was at first serialized in the Daily Mirror and then brought out in book form; over two million copies have been printed and it is still selling, and influencing today's young anglers.
