About this Item
First edition. Slight waviness to the spine, else fine in very good or better dustwrapper (with art by "Mon Randall") with some small tears. Basis for the 1934 film serial *The Red Rider* directed by Lew Landers, and featuring Buck Jones, and with athletic great Jim Thorpe in a lesser role. The 1934 film probably had some effect on the comic book and radio hero created in 1933 as the Bronc Peeler, but whose name was changed in 1938 to Red Ryder (of "You'll shoot your eye out" fame).
