First Edition (first printing) of the author's second book of fiction, comprising fifteen of his Reginald short stories, all of which were originally printed in the 'Westminster Gazette'. 8vo. 118pp. Red cloth lettered and ruled in gold at the spine and upper board. Cloth marked and rubbed at some extremities. Binding a little slanted. Endpapers browned with just a little light spotting throughout. No dust wrapper. The collection includes the story 'Reginald on Christmas Presents', where our eponymous hero declares "I am not collecting copies of the cheaper editions of Omar Khayyam. I gave the last four copies I received to the liftboy.". Seller Inventory # BC12225
