Half calf over marbled boards, G. [iv]+63+[1]pp, last page is a list of Pindar's works available from Evans, with the half title, upper board held by the cords, both boards very worn & rubbed, remains of a paper label to the spine, ink inscription to the pastedown stating that the book was book 9066 of Boosey's circulating library of 39 King Street, Cheapside, margins a little yellowed & with the occasional stain, a fair copy of an uncommon item. A collection of verse by the poet & satirist John Wolcot [ 1738 - 1819 ]. One of 8 titles which were published by John Evans over a prolific 2 year period when Evans acted as Wolcot's publisher. Some 1750 copies of the 'Remonstrance' were printed between 1791 - 1793. ESTC t009596 400 grams.
