Original publisher's dark brown cloth binding with gilt lettering and decoration on the spine. 6" x 9 1/4." 761 pages, complete. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Covers have bumped corners and some edge wear. Head and tail of spine are slightly chipped. Slight splitting along the front and back inner hinges but mostly limited toward the head and tail. A Very Good copy. Excerpt from the first page: "The report, which I now submit, of the operations within the State, and the movements and history of Vermont organizations in the field, during the past year, will, in connection with previous reports from this office, show what has been done by the State during the war ." A sizable portion of this book comprises military rosters of servicemembers who served during the Civil War.
