Hardback Condition: Fair +. Red boards, silver gilt lettering to the spine. 1st UK Edition; ex-library, that's why it has number written with red pen on the cover and on 1st end paper, library stamps on 1st end paper, title page, pp 3 & 5, envelope glued to the last end paper. Foxing on the edges, head and tail bumped, boards bit soiled, random foxing or spots on some pages; foxing and tanning on inside boards; light smudges on PP12, 18, 19, 37, 70, 71, 90, 91, 102, 112, 119, 160, 166. Light creases of the corners of PP 77-81, 143, 147, 207. Small tears on PP 156, 157, 109, 191. No other inscriptions or marks. All pages are intact, text is perfectly readable. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair +. Worn, torn on the edges, price slipped, tanned, discolourated, has foxing and library sticker on the spine, marks of other stickers, wrapped in see-through film to preserve. Welcome to Looe Bookshop. I am trading at West Looe Bookshop, 18th century building located at West Looe, on tiny backstreet - Princes Street. The history of the bookshop in Looe: in June 2019 I & my late partner Neil Stone reopened the only bookshop in Looe - The Old Hall Bookshop, in association with the owners of The Old Hall & The Old Hall Bookshop Sam and Jo Hawes (Bosco Books). The Old Hall Bookshop is known to been opened in 1974. The building originally was 19th century Chapel and Sunday School, on Shutta Road, in the historic Fishing town of Looe, in South East Cornwall. West Looe BOOKSHOP is open mostly Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (12.00 to 16.30) but days and times may change.
