London. Collins. 1942. Octavo (7 x 5). 191 pp. With sixteen black and white plates drawn by Charles De Feo. Haig-Brown's timeless and factual account of a Chinook salmon, Spring, from the moment of her river birth until her death years later after spawning in the same river. The book is bound in reddish-brown cloth with gilt titles on the spine and a gilt salmon on the front cover. A nice book. About fine in a near fine dust jacket.
