First edition, first impression, containing the first instance of Kipling's poem 'If' in print. Illustrations by Frank Craig.Bound in the publisher's red cloth. There is minor bumping resulting in discolouration at the spine ends, the spine being discoloured. The boards are generally bright, with some fading and soiling towards the edges. The gilt inset elephant is a smidge rubbed, the corners a little bumped. The binding is generally tight, with one small split to the front hinge and there are just one or two spots throughout.
