Also a variety of Matter in prose and verse, useful and entertaining by Isaac Bickerstaff, Esq. Philom.This volume of the almanac contains 24 pages, (including covers). It is 4.5 inches by 7.25 inches. Lacking the binding thread. Aside from the usual astronomical information, the pamphlet contains Agricultural nd Miscellaneous Selections, Fatting Cattle, Preserving Meat, Nettles, Butter made from Scalded Cream, Copper Vessels, Fine and Clrify Beer, Courts, The Swearer's Prayer, and more. Great item to bring to a classroom and show the children what people did when there was no iphone to check the weather! Wonderful piece of antique ephemera. Condition: The edges of this almost 200 year old almanac are worn away and have numerous chips and tears. Heavy creasing to corners. Soiling sporadically throughout. See photos.ebbx.
