Item description from seller

First Edition; with "1" in the number line on copy right page. A study of the top four generals of the Civil War (Lee, Sherman, McClellan and Grant), examines how each general's use or lack of use of his personal staff reflected his individual command style. Binding tight; Black half cloth covered spine clean with shiny gold lettering on title on spine. Green paper covered boards clean. DJ is not price clipped, is bright and complete and now protected in mylar jacket. Interior pages are clean with NO creases, writing or tears. Not an ex-lib. Over-sized. Note: We use "Fine" book condition judiciously; only when the book exhibits no flaws. A Fine book closely approaches ‘As New’ condition and may not have been previously owned. Any flaws (writing, tears, creases) are exceptions to a Fine condition and should be clearly described for a book and dust jacket.

We specialize in fine illustrated and collectible children's books, children's literature, fairy tales and mythology. We also offer an eclectic mix of quality rare & out of print books on a diverse range of non-fiction subjects. Browse our storefront and you may find books on history, Civil War, WW2, philosophy, as well as vintage paperbacks and older science fiction books. We make every effort to fairly describe the condition of the book and identify any flaws (writing, tears, creases, folds), including that of the dust jacket.
