Some spots of foxing to endpapers and to plates. Some bruising to lower corners of boards.; xi, [1], 127, [1], [2 (blank)] plates + 5 folding plates at rear. Some of the paginated leaves are folding tables. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. Page dimensions: 223 x 140mm. "Probably for no river in Great Britain has so much been done 'by art and man's device' as for the river Clyde, above Port Glasgow. In fact, from a mile below Bowling upwards to Glasgow, a length of 12 miles, the Clyde of the present day is nearly as much an artificial navigation as the Suez Canal." - page 1.
