First printing. A fine copy in a near-fine jacket (but for some chipping, as pictured). A copy with clean text and price ($2.75) intact on front flap. Comes with archival-quality jacket protector. Note: Prior owner's signature on front endpaper. Morgan was President of PEN International from 1953-56, and won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 1940. This title (the novel) was also published as a play.
