Item description from seller

This copy is like new and has no faults. With a focus on hunting and conservation, Burdon reflects on his time with the Wildlife Service and Pest Destruction Boards, offering vivid accounts of terrain, tracking, and ecological change. Illustrated with both colour and black-and-white images, the book captures a rugged lifestyle and the evolving relationship between people and land. It’s a valuable piece of New Zealand outdoor literature, especially for readers interested in historical fieldwork and environmental management.
