Delicate dustjacket with drawing by Hovald Brett is in poor condition, chipping top and bottom and at folds, material missing. Repaired where possible. Fiction by famous screenwriter and actor that reads a lot like a movie screenplay. Nigel Praed, the hero, is a young Englishman who has been a secret service agent in Germany during the war. On the train, he makes the acquaintance of a beautiful lady, the daughter of the British Resident of Ponta Rica, the island where he is trying to get a flying-field concession. there is a villain, persistent and resourceful, to oppose Praed, all sorts of mysterious men, and no lack of charming women. Very good in poor dustjacket, protected with a mylar cover. [b114].
