First edition. Thomas Nelson & Sons, 1927; no additional printings indicated; 182pp. with 18 full-page illustrations by the author, six in full-color. VG-/G+ hardcover, missing the scarce jacket. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; very minor wear to edges of dark purple cloth boards; color plate, with gilt title and stamped orange border on front board remains bright and crisp, cloth toned on spine, gilt titling dulled but clearly legible; illustrations and text very good throughout.
