Illustrated with frontispiece, fifty-five plates, and a folding map to the rear. Collated complete. A detailed commentary on Rome during the Renaissance and in the modern day, with chapters on Colonna, Trevi, Ponte, Regola, Pigna, Ripa, Borgo, and more. Written by Sir James Rennell Rodd, a British diplomat, poet and politician who served as British Ambassador to Italy during the First World War.
