The Room Outside: From Innovative Planting Schemes to Relaxing Seating Areas

The use of walls to demarcate a designated area for sitting in your garden and admire the view, to rest and contemplate, or eat alfresco is appealing to us all. From urban plots to landscaped country gardens, there is great potential to create the perfect outdoor room - practical and mysterious, comfortable and fun. David Stevens shows, in imaginative ways, and with sound advice and with innovative ideas, the successful execution of designing a personalised room in the garden. Using pagodas, raised decks and gazebos, David demonstrates there is no limit to the opportunities and much of it you can achieve simply and safely yourself.
