About this Item
First edition. Modest edgewear on the boards, near fine very good or better dustwrapper with a modest chip at the edge of the crown and other light wear. A groundbreaking book that pioneered mainstream interest in the antecedents and culture of African-American experience during slavery and Reconstruction. The landmark television dramatization was watched by over 100 million people and remains a highpoint in the medium's history. *Roots* was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize in 1977 and it remains a key testament to the scope of the African-American experience. A cheaply produced book that didn't hold up well to use, this is a nice, presentably copy of the first edition. Seller Inventory # 465446
