1st printing of the first English language printing (precedes US Theater Guild version (also based on Paul Selver's translation) by a few weeks). Small Octavo size (8vo). in red printed thin card wrappers, 102pp, publishers advert leaf at rear, cast list of 1st British performance in London on verso of title-page pasted over by blank sheet of paper (causing a very slight wrinkle to that leaf only). This was done by the publishers for copyright reasons to all copies of the first printing. This copy is protectively housed in a unique finely made and wonderfully illustrated, cloth clam-shell case . [CONDITION: An uncommonly well preserved near FINE very clean and tight unmarked copy (mild sunning to front cover, minute nick to wrapper at bottom edge of spine, page-block edges slightly tanned) ] . . __NOTE.
